Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 15, 2026  |  Last Updated: May 15, 2026

SAT Reps LLC (“SAT Reps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates satreps.ai, an AI-powered SAT preparation platform. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have with respect to your information.

Please read this policy carefully. By using SAT Reps, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who Uses SAT Reps

SAT Reps is designed for high school students preparing for the SAT. Most users are between 14 and 18 years old. Parents or guardians often purchase access on behalf of their student.

This policy uses “you” to refer to both students and parents or guardians, depending on context. Where the distinction matters, we say so explicitly.

We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts. If you are under 13, you may not use SAT Reps. See Section 9 (Children Under 13) for details.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

2.2 Usage and Learning Data

When a student uses SAT Reps, we collect:

2.3 Tutor Contact Information (Optional)

If a student chooses to share their progress report with a human tutor, we collect the tutor's name and contact information solely for the purpose of delivering that report. We do not use tutor contact information for marketing or any other purpose.

2.4 Parent Contact Information

If a student chooses to share their Score Snapshot or progress with a parent or guardian, we collect that person's email address or phone number solely for the purpose of delivering the share link. We use this contact information to deliver the share link and, where a student's trial is active or has expired, to communicate with the parent or guardian about subscription options. We do not sell or share this contact information with third parties or use it for advertising unrelated to SAT Reps.

2.5 Payment Information

When you subscribe to SAT Reps, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number or full payment card details. Stripe collects and processes payment information directly under their own privacy policy (available on Stripe's website). We retain subscription status, billing plan, and transaction history.

2.6 Website Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our marketing website, including which pages are visited, how users arrive at the site, and how they navigate through it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information.

Google Analytics is used on our marketing website and unauthenticated pages only. It is not active within the logged-in student application. In-app behavioral data is handled exclusively through our own first-party database.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Search “Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on” to find the official Google download page.

2.7 Email Engagement Data

We use open and click tracking on parent-facing emails only — specifically the parent progress report email, the parent weekly digest, and subscription billing emails. This tracking helps us understand whether parents are receiving and engaging with important product communications.

Tracking is disabled on all student-facing emails at the send level. Students do not have email open or click data collected about them.

2.8 Technical and Device Information

We automatically collect basic technical information when you use the app, including browser type and version, device type and operating system, IP address and general location (city/region level), pages visited, and session timestamps. We use this for security, product improvement, and diagnosing technical issues. We do not use this information for targeted advertising.

2.9 What We Do Not Collect

SAT Reps does not collect:

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use student data to serve behavioral advertising. We do not create advertising profiles based on student learning data.

4. AI Processing — How Your Data Is Used by the AI

SAT Reps uses artificial intelligence to power its core features, including:

To deliver these features, we send student response data — including questions answered, answer choices selected, and session context — to the Anthropic API (Anthropic PBC). Anthropic processes this data to generate the AI responses that power SAT Reps.

As of the date of this policy, Anthropic does not use inputs submitted via the API to train its AI models. You can review Anthropic's API usage policies by visiting Anthropic's website and navigating to their API usage policy page.

Student learning data sent to Anthropic is not associated with an Anthropic account or profile. Anthropic receives the session context needed to generate a response; it does not receive your name, email address, or billing information.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

5.1 Service Providers

We share information with the vendors that help us operate SAT Reps:

Each provider has access only to the information they need to perform their specific service. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes beyond what is necessary to provide their services to SAT Reps.

5.2 Parent and Tutor Sharing

When a student voluntarily shares their Score Snapshot or progress report, the recipient receives a read-only view through a secure link. We do not share broader account data beyond what is contained in the specific report shared.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the safety of any person, or protect the rights and property of SAT Reps.

5.4 Business Transfers

If SAT Reps is acquired or its assets are transferred as part of a sale or restructuring, your information may transfer to the acquiring entity. We will notify you by updating this policy and providing reasonable notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

5.5 What We Do Not Do

We do not:

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

SAT Reps uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:

No advertising cookies, behavioral tracking pixels, or interest-based advertising technologies are currently used on student-facing pages or within the logged-in application.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

7.1 How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain student data for up to 24 months after account cancellation, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first.

We retain this data to allow you to reactivate your account and recover your progress if you return, and to comply with legal obligations. After the retention period, we delete or anonymize your data. Anonymization means that personally identifying information (such as name, email, and contact details) is removed or nulled, while aggregate usage data may be retained in de-identified form for product improvement purposes. Billing records are retained separately as required by financial recordkeeping obligations.

We may retain de-identified, aggregated data that cannot be traced back to you individually for longer periods to understand performance trends and improve the product.

7.2 Deleting Your Account

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Delete My Account.” We will process deletion requests within 30 days. After deletion is complete, your data will not be recoverable.

If a parent or guardian requests deletion of a student's data, we will process that request without requiring the student's consent.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

9. Children Under 13 — COPPA

SAT Reps is designed for high school students in grades 9–12. Our signup flow is limited to students who identify as being in grades 9–12. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete their information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account on SAT Reps, please contact us at [email protected].

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

SAT Reps LLC is a California company. We apply CCPA/CPRA rights to all users, not only California residents, to the extent practicable.

11. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active users by email. Your continued use of SAT Reps after a policy update means you accept the revised policy.
