WHAT CHANGED

The SAT is back.
The anxiety never left.

Every Ivy League school will require SAT or ACT scores for students applying in 2027 and beyond. Other selective colleges are moving the same direction. A score is still the clearest window into whether a student is ready.

SAT Reps exists to close the one gap tutoring spend alone has never closed. It helps students walk into the test already knowing what they’ve fixed, instead of hoping the practice was enough.

THE PROBLEM

Families spend thousands. Students still walk in hoping.

For families aiming at the most selective schools, test scores are no longer optional. They’re required again. Every family I’ve spoken with says some version of the same thing. They paid for tutoring and their student did the work, and neither one knew for sure it was enough. Test anxiety has outlasted every prep method the industry has tried, because it was never really about how much a student studied. It comes from not knowing whether the work closed the gap. SAT Reps exists to close that gap.

HOW IT STARTED

Built to solve one family’s problem. Now built to solve yours.

I started SAT Reps by watching my own son prepare for the SAT. His tutor was genuinely excellent at walking through any single question. No one had a way to look across every question he’d gotten wrong and find the pattern connecting them.

I’ve spent twenty years building software and leading product and marketing teams. Then AI coding tools changed the equation. For the first time, one person could build production-grade software alone. I used that experience to build the tool I wished had existed for my son. It worked better than I expected. It was reliable enough that I kept building on it.

That is my mission now. I can’t promise the anxiety disappears. But I can help your kids, and mine, keep closing that gap, one pattern at a time.

Jason Finkelstein studied computer science at Duke University and earned his MBA at Columbia Business School. He spent the next twenty years building and marketing software products. Then he turned that experience toward the problem his own son was facing with the SAT.

THE PRODUCT

Wrong Answer Intelligence

SAT Reps looks across your wrong answers and finds the pattern underneath them. Most tools stop at explaining the one question you just missed. SAT Reps goes further. It builds an error profile of everything you’ve gotten wrong, then shows you which pattern to fix first. That is the right reps. Not more practice. The correct practice.
